2017 Ramadhan Food Distribution Project

For the 5th year in a row, MTFA embarked on our signature project of distributing Iftar meals for 166 needy recipients during the month of Ramadhan. Apart from the main and side dishes, these meals come with dates, packet drinks, fruits and cakes.

MTFA’s cooks prepared the food during the weekdays, whereby a logistics company assisted to deliver the food to our recipients. Additionally, we enlisted the catering services of Sabar Menanti Restaurant for the weekend food distribution. Our volunteers assisted to deliver the food during the weekends to our recipients.

We ensured that the food provided was of a well-balanced diet.

Food packets were placed in labeled plastic bags to ensure easy identification with the correct number of packages.

We engaged Sabar Menanti Restaurant for the second time in 3 years.

MTFA’s volunteers graciously contributed to our project by collecting the food from Sabar Menanti Restaurant and delivering it to our recipients on weekends.

It was a chance to embark on family bonding during the delivery of food to the needy.

Our volunteers kindly provided their own transportation for the food delivery.
