  • Welfare Officer

    Job Description:
    • Formulate, develop, and implement programmes for residents.
    • Understand and able to implement best practices in handling residents.
    • Responsible for the home’s operations and learning system to facilitate, support and enhance resident’s development.
    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma holder
    • Relevant certificates and experience in handling children in institution or home for children would be an advantage
    • Possession of a Class 3 driving license would be an advantage
    • Able to perform shift work, including overnight shifts.
    • Location of workplace would be at Darul Ihsan Girls’ Orphanage (23 Wan Tho Avenue)
    • Non-Smoker
    • Possess a responsible and caring attitude
  • Case Manager/ Case Supervisor/ Senior Social Worker

    Job Description:

    • Supervise and manage the case management unit in both homes
    • Ensure proper care planning, case management, counselling and administration of case documents
    • Conduct case conferences and consultations
    • Oversee all matters pertaining to residents and their families
    • Oversee all social matters of the homes such as during the stages of pre-admission, case reviews, care plans and discharge
    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or any suitable equivalent qualification
    • Have more than 5 years of relevant experience working with children and youths
    • Have prior experience in dealing with various stakeholders, community-based organisations and social service agencies
    • A good track record in management/supervisory positions
    • A good employment record and experience in dealing with various government agencies
    • Excellent organisational skills including a style of management that prioritizes hands-on leadership and people-to-people contact
    • Good interpersonal skills with a strong knowledge in cultural and local Malay/Muslim community traditions/norms
    • Background in social work or a related field would be an advantage
