What is the criteria to apply for financial assistance?

Our financial assistance funds are targeted for households who have a cut off Per Capita Income (PCI) of $500 and below. PCI is calculated by taking the total household income and dividing by the number of people living in the house. Total household income includes income of all family members living in the same household as the applicant.

MTFA provides cash assistance given on a bi-monthly basis as well as Fidyah groceries voucher for selected families.

How will the financial assistance be paid?

Financial assistance will be paid via Bank Transfer or PayNow.

If you have been notified that your bank details are incorrect (e.g. closed or invalid account), please email your updated information to welfareaid@mtfa.org.(mailto:welfareaid@mtfa.org)

Please note: Disbursement will be rescheduled by an additional 2 to 3 weeks from the official date, starting from the time our officer acknowledges your update.

How long will my application be processed?

Applications will be processed within 3 months from the date we receive the completed application form and all required documents.

If any information or documents are found to be incomplete or incorrect, the process will be recommenced, and you will need to resubmit your application. This will cause the document to undergo extended processing next 3 months, once all correct documents are received.
This exercise to ensure fairness, accuracy, and proper assessment for all applicants.
