A Humbling Visit to Ihsan Kidney Care @ Yishun

November 21, 2025

I had the privilege to visit IHSAN Kidney Care @ Yishun, a dialysis centre run by MTFA, as part of an ongoing effort by our mosque to support their meaningful work.

Throughout the discussions and arrangements leading up to the visit, I had the chance to be involved in the process of helping the management secure support for a dialysis chair. Even in a small supporting role, the experience opened my eyes to something much deeper.

Walking through the centre, seeing patients quietly undergoing treatment, and hearing the dedication of the staff… it was a moment that stays with you. Dialysis isn’t just a medical routine it becomes part of someone’s life rhythm, multiple times a week, often for years.

The resilience, patience (sabr), and quiet strength of these individuals really touched me. We sometimes forget the weight of these challenges until we witness them up close.

Through this journey, I realised how impactful even one dialysis chair can be. It’s not just equipment it’s a form of relief. A small but meaningful way to ease someone’s difficult routine. And if our involvement can contribute even a little to that ease, then it’s a blessing.

May Allah grant strength and healing to all who undergo this journey, and may He reward them abundantly for their sabr. And may He bless the continuous good work of MTFA and the dedicated team at Ihsan Kidney Care.

A truly humbling experience.
