Following the success of our first-ever overseas public Qurban campaign last year in Banyuwangi, MTFA returned to Indonesia with an even bigger mission for Qurban for Yatim 2026. This year, our journey took us to the vibrant regions of Surabaya and Malang, where your generosity allowed us to expand our reach and impact more young lives than ever before.
What began last year as a leap of faith has truly blossomed. Thanks to your unwavering trust and support, we successfully facilitated the qurban of 560 sheep – more than doubling last year’s initiative.
A Mission of Scale and Synergy
Managing a campaign of this scale required incredible coordination, and once again, our partners on the ground in Indonesia surpassed all expectations. From the careful selection and ethical handling of the livestock to the meticulous, hygienic slaughter processes, every step was executed with the utmost professionalism and respect for Islamic traditions.
But the true magic of Qurban for Yatim 2026 lay in the distribution. Over the course of the Eid al-Adha period, the fresh meat was systematically distributed to over 40 panti asuhan (orphanages) across the greater Surabaya and Malang areas.
Smiles That Know No Borders
While the numbers are a testament to the incredible community spirit of our donors in Singapore, the real heart of this trip was found in the moments of connection.
Visiting the orphanages allowed our team to see firsthand the joy your contributions brought. For many of these children, meat is a luxury rarely enjoyed. To be able to provide them with high-quality, nutritious meals for Eid was a profound privilege. The warmth and hospitality we received from the children and their caretakers were deeply moving reminders of why we do this work. Charity truly knows no borders.
Growing Together
Looking back at where we started in Banyuwangi in 2025 with 238 sheep, we are humbled by how much this initiative has grown in just one year. This expansion proves that when a community unites with a shared intention of care and compassion, our collective impact can break boundaries.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our donors, supporters, and ground partners who trusted us to carry out their ibadah this year. You didn’t just fulfill a religious obligation; you brought joy to thousands of children.
As we look to the future, we hope to continue expanding the horizons of Qurban for Yatim, reaching even more remote communities and nurturing the bonds of brotherhood across the region.
