This year, MTFA embarked on a meaningful new chapter with the launch of Qurban for Yatim 2025; our first-ever overseas Qurban campaign open to public participation. We chose Banyuwangi, Indonesia, and what unfolded there was a deeply inspiring experience rooted in compassion, community, and care.
In just one day, we successfully carried out the slaughter of 238 sheep:
· 138 at a central slaughter facility, and
· 50 each at two local orphanages: Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya and Panti Asuhan Mutiara Insan.
All the meat was distributed directly to the orphanages, ensuring that your Qurban reached those who needed it most.
What stood out to us was the exceptional level of organisation and efficiency demonstrated by our Indonesian partners. From hygiene standards and slaughter protocols to logistics and distribution, every step was executed seamlessly, mirroring the high standards we are familiar with in Singapore. It was a humbling reminder that excellence can be found even in the most remote corners when the heart and intention are aligned.
More than just a logistical achievement, this campaign was about connection and compassion. Spending time with the children at both orphanages was deeply moving. Their smiles and laughter brought the spirit of Qurban to life in ways words can hardly capture.
Qurban for Yatim 2025 was a leap of faith for MTFA; a new frontier in our mission to serve, guided by the belief that love and support know no borders. We're incredibly thankful to all our donors and supporters who trusted us with this journey, as well as to our dedicated partners on the ground in Banyuwangi.
We hope this is just the beginning.
With your continued support, we look forward to growing this initiative and bringing the blessings of Qurban to even more children and families in the years ahead.
